How to change your Windows OS product ID
In this post I am going to describe the simple process through which you can change product id to any desired name or words or sentence. You can write your name in product id area. And this will works and it will not harm your computer neither it will change your genuine version. Your computer will be as before and you can simply change your product id.If you don’t know what is product id then I am going to write here. Right click your mouse on My computer icon and click properties. On the below you will see product id name. Yes that is the product id and you can display whatever you like in the product id name. You can even display your name in product id name field. Ok here is the simple trick to change the product id name.
1. click on Start’
2. click on run and type regedit in the run dialog box.
3. Apter you have opened the Registry editor, navigate in the following order
HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version
4. Now on the right hand side you can see an entry by name ProductID written under the heading name.
5. Now you need to Double click on ProductID, apter then a pop-up dialog box showing your Windows Product ID. Now, here you can delete original product ID and you can write anything you like.
6. Once you have done this just click on OK and close the Registry Editor. Now you have done and now you can see the changed altered ProductID in the My computer (Windows) properties window.
